Beeavision found these links. You can see the Tiger, as well as Trumpter's 1:16 Tiger II.

I believe Admiral Toys was planing on releasing a kit on this plane awhile back. I wonder if its the same company behind this one.

Actually this is a SBD-3 Dauntless. The one Admiral was working on was a SBD-2. I wonder what the difference is.

Hey that's pretty cool. Is there an ETA for it being available? Who is making it?

And i think we still have the Komet to look forward to from Pegasus, but not until 2012.

Wow - that's the first real 1/18 news in a long time (outside of ph's efforts of course : ) !!!

I think it's a great choice - I was just thinking the other day that the best selling choices left in 1/18 WWII aircraft would be either the Dauntless or the Wildcat (or maybe a Spitfire reboot). Admiral was totally on the right path to go for the Dauntless; too bad theirs never made it - or did it? It'll be interesting to find out the manufacturer and price point.

come to think of it.....wasn't Trumpeter planning on doing a KIT of a 1/18 Dauntless? Maybe they are doing it as a built up instead (like their Easy Model line)?

I was really thinking and hoping it would be an A-10 or F-15 but a dauntless is cool too, I'll take it! :D
I believe Merit has a good track record for delivering on the goods ( quality or not) so I'm hoping they really come through with this one!

Merit website says arriving "around winter". I sure hope so. I hope these sell well and kick start 1:18 again!
An A-10 and a Hind would complete my 1:18 scale dream collection! ;-)
