I believe Admiral Toys was planing on releasing a kit on this plane awhile back. I wonder if its the same company behind this one.
Re: New Merit 1/18 plane announced at iHobby Show in Chicago
Umm, that wasn't on my radar!
Re: New Merit 1/18 plane announced at iHobby Show in Chicago

Actually this is a SBD-3 Dauntless. The one Admiral was working on was a SBD-2. I wonder what the difference is.

SBD-3 began manufacture in early 1941. increased protection, self-sealing fuel tanks, and four machine guns; 584 built. flew at the Battle of Midway

Re: New Merit 1/18 plane announced at iHobby Show in Chicago
I wonder if its going to sell at $64.99 as it was originally advertised back in 07. LOL
Re: New Merit 1/18 plane announced at iHobby Show in Chicago
Any word on when / where available and how much?
Re: New Merit 1/18 plane announced at iHobby Show in Chicago
Hey that's pretty cool. Is there an ETA for it being available? Who is making it?
And i think we still have the Komet to look forward to from Pegasus, but not until 2012.

Re: New Merit 1/18 plane announced at iHobby Show in Chicago
Wow - that's the first real 1/18 news in a long time (outside of ph's efforts of course : ) !!!
I think it's a great choice - I was just thinking the other day that the best selling choices left in 1/18 WWII aircraft would be either the Dauntless or the Wildcat (or maybe a Spitfire reboot). Admiral was totally on the right path to go for the Dauntless; too bad theirs never made it - or did it? It'll be interesting to find out the manufacturer and price point.

Re: New Merit 1/18 plane announced -ALL HAS BEEN REVEALED!
I was really thinking and hoping it would be an A-10 or F-15 but a dauntless is cool too, I'll take it!
I believe Merit has a good track record for delivering on the goods ( quality or not) so I'm hoping they really come through with this one!
