1 18 KING TIGER?
Re: 1 18 KING TIGER?
I thought I remember a Curtis that worked at Military Toy shop also in Ohio. Obviously the Komet is form Jack and he mentioned that he has sold another one.

Now according to the listing below which was ended by the same seller in question quoted that it was his brother who died not a friend. Or maybe its both????Barbarian333 wrote:I just got this msg from the seller

This is what was said...
"Don't miss out on this one, I have a NIB Hot Toys NAVY SEAL AGA MASK for sale. It is new in box and in very good condtion. I inherited the item from my brother who was killed while in service to his country. He was a NAVY SEAL, and loved these items very much. This was the only one he never opened. And I doubt there is another like it, in this condition."
Re: 1 18 KING TIGER?
boy this guy is having some bad luck with people close to him dying.
all the pics for his auctions are clipped; none did he take himself. That includes the bradley which is from another auction that was on a couple of weeks ago.

Re: 1 18 KING TIGER?
This guy MUST be screwing with us. WTF, why can't he post pics???
Lets see our Convo:
Lets see our Convo:
Hi, can you post pics of the actual tank? I would like to see what I would be bidding on, thank you.
-Alex
The picture posted is exactly what it looks like. Nothing more, nothing less. In my opinion, the 1:16 kits I built look better than this item, but for those who have a urge to possess all the possible 21st Century 1:18 scale items, bid away.
Hi, I would really like to see the item before bidding. We are not talking about a regular run of the mill item. Can we get a few extra shots please? Not the picture that 21st used...
Thanks, -Alex
The item is as described. If you are unhappy with the lack of pictures, and feel uncomfortable, unsure of the item, then I understand if you wish to not bid. There are 24 people watching this item, and I have no doubt it will sell for a very high price. Sorry to be so brash, but I have left plenty of details about the item in the description, and the description is accurate. I have never mis-represented an item.
- curtisbehappy2011
Hi, I know, the description is a big part of it. I sell scale buildings on ebay and forums for high prices, no matter how great the description is, there's nothing like pictures.
I know a few people who won't bid unless we see pictures. If you would not mind uploading a few, we would all really appreciate it.
Cheers,
Alex
Whether or not you bid makes no difference to me. I knew from the beginning that this auction would never make it to the final 24 hours.I have many connections here who trust me, and my word. I've already had offers of 1000.00+, so if you don't want to bid, then don't. Again, I sorry for sounding so brash, but if you don't buy it, someone else will. This is a one of a kind item, and is legit.
Regards
What do y'all think? I'm sorry but... he's an a$$hole.Hi, I really do not understand why you can not post pictures of it??? What would be the harm in taking a few minutes to upload a few pictures for us? You really have no Idea how to treat someone that would be willing to dish out good money for something.
Regards,
Alex

Re: 1 18 KING TIGER?
I agree, this guy seems a bit shady to me though I could be wrong as I've been wrong before. If I were a buyer though I'd probably look elsewhere just to be safe. Not to mention out of the 40ty feedback remarks associated with his name only one is from a buyer.

Did CatLady post pictures of the actual prototype when she put up her auction?

Re: 1 18 KING TIGER?
If I was trying to sell a prototype or other rare item, I'd post as many photos and answer as many questions as possible to try and build interest. This has all the markings of a scam IMO.

I'm assuming he's a scammer.

Re: 1 18 KING TIGER?
In my 11 years on eBay, I've always found that it's wise to avoid auctions without pictures. 11, 8, even 5 years ago, not everyone had cameras...but, most did. Now, just about everyone has a phone with a camera. If this guy can't take a quick pic...then, something is screwy. That, or he's just an idiot, and is extremely hardheaded.
I looked at the trap, Ray.

Re: 1 18 KING TIGER?
What a JERK! Flyboy's request is not unusual at all. It would be like buying a Back to the Future screen used Delorean online. I would want to see pics inside and out to prove the car is really the car.

I wasn't aware that the Phantom had even been started, so that's news to me.
as far as i know there was only 4 prototypes made of the 1/18th F-4 by 21C but how he got ahold of one is a mystery...

Re: 1 18 KING TIGER?
He seems really suspect to me.
1 sale and many purchases, scrolled through his purchased items and Feedback.
Buying many 21st 1/18 airplanes and usually paying a high amount for them.
Is he a scammer who will do a Credit Card charge-back through Paypal after he gets his planes delivered?.
I quote the Latin phrase "CAVEAT EMPTOR" (Buyer Beware!)

Did a bit more research through his Feedback, he won the Bradley auction for $43, relists at $135 and uses the same pic from the auction he won.aferguson wrote:boy this guy is having some bad luck with people close to him dying.

Something fishy going on and the SSMHQ net-police are on the scent.

Well Aferguson, Snake, myself, and a few others here are Canadian, so this so called 'American Justice' means nothing to us.derek_001 wrote:hey thats not ture american justice though id wait till you have more proof of scaming before you go off and report someone...flyboy_fx wrote:I feel like reporting it... If the auction goes south, let's report the pants off the guy.
