Mig-15 paint

Post by lou210 » Wed Aug 01, 2007 5:25 pm

I'm looking to repaint a Chinese Mig-15 but cant seem to find anything other then the schemes 21st already. I imagine that a lot of countries used it. I was hoping for a middle eastern scheme but anything will work....

Thing served in a lot of countries and they all have different ideas of a good paint job. :)

Hmm... and Iraqi Mig-15. Now you're giving me ideas and it doesn't seem too hard to do. My F-18 needs something to shoot down. Now what happened to those Chinese Migs that were sitting in my area for a week?

Found a ton at this link:

Poland and Cuba seem to have the most colorful.. Keep clicking next at the bottom, about 15 pages of Mig-15s.

The problem with many of these schemes is they are for the trainer version. I've wanted to build a MIG15-UTI because of the number of paint schemes these planes had. Especially in Africa - whereever the Russians shipped MiG-21s, at least one UTI went with them. Even one country used the UTIs as bombers in counter-insurgency missions.
