F-104
I didn't see any other thread with this topic, hope I'm not repeating. I have to say, the photos are very impressive. If this is, in fact, the model we see on the shelves, 21st has achieved a new level and things are looking up!
It's funny how something that doesn't fit in anywhere can be so appealing. It will fit right in. I like how the leading edge flap lowers. Nice..........

Its an awesome plane and I'm drooling, depending on how soon it comes out, I may have to pass... It doesn't quite pass me as fitting in any time frame 21c has produced vehicles for. but then thats what I've said about most of the recent new releases!
I want to know where the Avenger, which was revealed to us last year, is!!

See what a little competition will do! lolUSCGSARdog wrote:Yes, I too would like to know the status of the Avenger but that 104 might hold me over for a little while! Man, look at the detail on that thing. Looks like 21C is really going to step it up....NICE.

That Bbi Mustang sure set the bar a bit higher, now we'll see if 21st can come through and meet expectations that we've come to expect given the detail found on the bbi bird.
I'm with SARdog, where the heck is that Avenger??? lol

I once read a little article about the use of F-104s by the Pakastani's. It turns out that they weren't really all that great of a dogfighter, given their high speeds and very short wing span. The aircraft was so tricky to fly because if you turned it too sharply at low speeds, it would easily stall.
Competition
I just noticed that fan club members can win one of 3 Starfighters,pre-general release by entering a competition. No product purchase required. :shock:You have to fill out a quiz;they give you a link where you can find the answers..That will be a good way to learn about this aircraft.

CF104 starfighter is coming ...
Wow, I'm impressed. I always thought the starfighter was one of the most elegant looking jets of all time. Looks like 21st has done a great job so far, on it. I hope the landing gear detail is also up to par.
Of course, I must have it and will turn it into a CF 104. We used them for a long time in a variety of interceptor roles.
There is one done up in camouflage at Comox Air Force base. A more unusual set up.
As a matter of interest, a lot of European Nato countries used F104's for a while as interceptors.
I remember when I was a kid visiting Berlin, the F-104's patrolling the travel corridor between West Germany & Berlin. An awesome and heartwarming sight.
