32X Warbird future?

Post by KING » Tue Nov 16, 2004 1:13 pm

Other than the already released 1/32 ME262, ME109E and P51, What other 32X Ultimate soldier planes are slated for release???

I’m selling my collection off but I’ve decided to at least hold on to my war birds. So I’m totally excited about the prospect of any new planes that may be on our plates!!! :P

There is a repaint of the P-51 out now, but other than that, I haven't heard any new announcements.. :?

Warbirds

Yo, King! All right, you're still hanging in! This stuff is an addiction, isn't it?

I've seen pics of a new 21st Century P40 in 1/32nd scale that they've posted in Toy Soldier and Model Figure mag. George can probably say when it'll be out. It also looks like FOV and Matchbox are going to have some new 1/32nd scale stuff out, including the Mosquito, Spit, P51, and ME 109. I'll tell ya, I wouldn't mind a Zero, tho. Don't know why these comps ignore the Pacific theater of operations. Anyone who makes a Jap tank or two and Jap field gun is gonna clean up.

Glad you're still on the board.

Dick

Thanks Winky :)

I'm glad too. I'm selling all the tanks and troops but I can't stop loving my war birds. I have them all hanging from my ceiling along with my Gramps models and I just thought hell, If I sell the P51 it's going to be a whole sky of Gery birds, and that can't be :)

I'm telling you, A couple F4U's, A hellcat. God the sky's the limit with some nice Pacific fighters.... Some day I hope. That was my favorite XD Plane was the F4Y  That's what 21rst called it any how..... Who can forget that huge typo!!!

My next modeling project (sorry ladies not the GQ type of modeling) Will be of an 1/48th P38. I'm doing a pacific version so we'll see how she turns out!!! I'm going to hunt thate 21rst P51 and see if I can't get some pictures of it, See if it's worthy of picking up!!!

Here's what the new 21st 32x P-51 looks like. Its modeled after the first series 1:18 XD plane (see link). I actually like it better than the first 32x P-51, which resembled the 1:18 "Blue Nose" version.

I can't think of where to find a picture of the 32x P-40 now, but from what I saw in a thread on the old GPXD board from several months ago, it will be the "Flying Tiger" variant. There is also going to be a repaint of the 32x BF-109 in Tropical cammo. The really awesome 1:32 aircraft coming up soon are with Corgi. They have, as you may already know, the Spitfire and P-51. Now there is a Mosquito and will shortly be a ME-109.

King:
As other board members mentioned, 21C makes the Me 262, P-51D (crappy early version), and Bf 109E. They are indeed supposedly coming out with a p-40B in 1:32 but who knows with them?
Corgi makes a fantastic P-51D in several paint schemes, a great Spitfire Mk. I in several paint schemes, and a Mosquito in at least two paint schemes. They are coming out with a BF 109G shortly.
Forces of Valor is coming out next year with the usual suspects-P51, Spitfire, and Bf 109G. Look for Corgi at least to keep bringing out new 1:32 planes.
Go Starbuck!
