I called today and she told me that my remaining order of 10 soldiers will be sent out. I just got home from work and saw her email.

Yup. These were only at Target for a while. They're now also FS at some internet stores.
A bit concerned, Jesse, as it seems a bit odd that everyone so far was told these are out of stock, yet I'll be getting 'em?.....hmmm....

I just called and she said they would get them in tomorrow and ship them, so I think it is a crap shoot here. She was willing to refund my money, however I,ll take the figures if they get them.

Well I got my package today with two German Soldiers instead of the two "sets" of six American Soldiers I had ordered. Called Best Services Stores and got the same excuses that they could not supply the order and would refund my payment and I could keep the two German Soldiers I received. Oh joy, joy. Guess I should have ordered twelve sets!

Like I really needed more!

These people are still messing with us.

I originally ordered 6 U.S. guys at a price of $31.28. That was the day of the first post, I had ordered a few hours after the first post and I guess they were raising the price. By the time a few more hours went buy the price was up to $39.

Then, THE NEXT DAY, I checked, and the price was down to $7.04. I ordered a second set. When I printed the order, the actual price was $6.54 with $4.99 shipping. The order says "set of 6". I knew I was being messed with because my first order of $31.28 gave me free shipping (my second order totaled over the limit for free shipping so I was puzzled, but that was an annoyance, not a big problem).

My original order of 6 guys came in the other day. Everything OK.

Today I received a box with ONE U.S. guy. The invoice says "1/18 U.S.WW2 soldier" even though my order said "set of 6".

Of course, I copy and print everything I order.

I sent them a e-mail just now, before I complain to Amazon for a case of "bait and switch". Let's see what happens. I WANT MY FIVE GUYS.....

15 minutes went by and I got a response from this guys Customer Service who offered to send me the missing figs or refund my money. I told her that I wanted the figs. We shall see what I get. Stay tuned........

I'm happy. I received my short order of 2 US soldiers instead of the 12 I had ordered. I call customer service and they offered me a full refund and told me to keep the product I recieved. Two figures for free, to bad I only ordered 2 sets.

I just got off the phone with Amazon. Their explanation was that the dirt bags at Best Service Stores (should be Worst Service Stores) are indeed out of stock and are no longer selling these sets. The best I can hope for is a full refund which is being processed.

The Amazon listing of 6 for $39.99 currently are being sold by Panache Place, Inc. According to Amazon, a different entity from Worst Service Stores.

I guess, I'll settle for my full refund and a free guy.

I need a nap after all this aggravation.

A full refund and free figures is pretty outstanding, actually. I can't say I was that unhappy at the end of the day. I wanted my full sets, but... Hey. This is ok if there was some kind of mistake/communication error made. It could've been refund plus we want the figures back, and I wouldn't have had much recourse.

I'm not sure who everyone got, but I got 2 US Bazooka dudes. Kind of bummed on that because they have the least interesting gear, but I also didn't have these guys so it wasn't so bad I guess.

I thought SmallJoes still had good prices on these figure sets though, for those still wanting full sets. For those wanting full sets and didn't mind the higher price (than $7), that's a good route to go.

For the full set, I got another Keane and:
Roy Gardner (BAR)
Don Gianelli (Bazooka and Tommy Gun)
Martin Stranko (M1 Rifle and Tommy Gun)
Larry Harthorne (BAR and M1 Carbine)
Mike McCullough (M1 Rifle and M1 Carbine)

So, I paid $32 for 7 guys = $4.50 each. Did I get ripped?

Actually, I like the guys, even if I got no bargain.

That was actually a pretty good deal unto itself. $4.50 isn't bad at all.

What a funny company. I placed 3 orders.

Order One - 2 US sets came in as 2 figures and they said they would refund the money.

Order Two - 8 US sets. They cancelled the order the next morning.

Order Three - 2 German sets came as two US figs. They apologized and said they would ship the other 10 figures on Tuesday.

There may be method to their madness but I am not seeing it. Hopefully I'll get the other figures. If not they said they would give me a refund.

I don't feel like starting a new thread for this, but Ross had a lone BBI paratrooper at it. They're a discount store, and not all areas have them. I was wondering if there had been more of these spotted, but finding one was nice. It's the guy with camo paint on his face from BBI's last series. He has the 501st white spade on his helmet. Kind of weird to find only one, but cool. $3.99 was nice.

I got my 10 soldiers today as promised. But here's what I got:
1 Harthorne, 1 Gianelli, 1 McCullough, 1 Keane, 2 Stranko, 2 Gardner of the US WWII Soldiers.
Included in this was 1 German Werner Beck and a Modern US Marine Sgt. Frank Segura.
My first shipment-the goof-up-was 1 McCullough and 1 Harthorne of the US WWII series.
Whatta crazy shop this was
