After fading out of the scene Skymax is making a comeback. I believe Skymax and Hobby Master are one in the same, or connected somehow but at any rate they are still around. I wasn't too interested in the recent Devastator re-release but they have a juicy looking Battle of Midway Val coming out early next year. That i'll get.

Skymax was the "value" offshoot of HobbyMaster, but not anymore.

Re: Skymax is alive and well
I've got several of the Skymas models... A Pearl Harbor Val, Battle of Midway VT-8 TBD Devastator, a VF-61 F8F, and an F-84. They are excellent quality models

Def. have to get that Val. I've got a gray, the orange, and green vals. Looking forward to this one. I've got 2 of their F8F's like them too!

Re: Skymax is alive and well
Guess that makes it official.
Thought the recent Devastator was a split run on the previous release and one time event. Given the first grey version still available I don't know what they were thinking.
Quite a few including me wanted a Midway Val. Maybe they were paying attention or there is not many other versions to do?
I have most of the Skymax Vals Including the tan one, green Ceylon and three grey versions.
Just missing the orange version and the Patriotic Gift that looks like the other grey Vals.
Looks like the underside color is more like the faded tan, I hope so. Definite buy.

Re: Skymax is alive and well
Well that is great to see.
Skymax were the "budget" HM line, but more a seperate company than budget models.
Have a few of their Japanese warbirds myself, and gald to see them back.Great for the hobby as well.
Know some guys are PTO themed, and they must be thrilled with Skymax "resurrected". Know I am.
