Unimax Announces a 1:700 Scale USS Missouri and IJN Yamato
Hello All,
In conjunction with the opening of the IHobby Expo, Unimax, the makers of the Forces of Valor range, have announced their intent to offer a 1:700 scale replica of the USN Missouri and IJN Yamato battlships. No word if these will be waterline or full draught replicas, material composition, etc. We should have imagery shortly and these ships are expected in November according to the sales sheet, so they should be pretty far along in the production process.

New FOV
Hi,
Nothing new in the static vehicle range. The company is likely waiting until February, at Toy Fair, to announce their new FOV/Micro Military/Extreme Metal subjects.
As an aside, they are moving up the release of their 1:24 scale R/C King Tiger and MLRS. According to the sales sheet, both are now expected in November.

Bismarck
Hi,
The Bismarck was 1:1000 scale. These are going to be the more standard 1:700 scale which is quite a bit larger.

Their Bismarck was quite nice with good detail and paint, but again, did not go well with the rest of my 1:700 ships and submarines. I have the Gearbox Toys 1:700 USS Missouri. It is nice as well and nearly a foot long. I'm sure the Unimax version would have better paint application and detail. Nice to have a Yamato to oppose it
I will get these if they look good and are significantly better than the Gearbox ones.

Hello,
Unimax has now provided us with imagery for both the Missouri and Yamato battleships. I believe they may also be viewable on the Forces of Valor web site.

FOV ships
The Missouri and the Yamato can be waterlined by unscrewing the lower hull. I don't know about the Bismarck.
