Do you mean the M-18? I have the three original bubble pack releases and were thinking they were last ones in existence. Most here don't know 21C carded these at first.

Yes. The Hellcat. The anti-tank, opened-turret US vehicle. My mistake on the designation model.

Didn't the M-41 Walker Bulldog come carded, as well? I think there may have been another vehicle, too. All of them were a different color shade from the original vehicles at TRU.

Yes, the Hellcat and WalkerBulldog both came carded when 21st first issued them. I had a couple of the WalkerBulldogs and they weren't actually painted, but were made from OD plastic.

Nothing at all new in my AO. Nothing at Walmart; I think that market is dead. Nothing at all new at TRU... just runoff. KMart has FOV but it's all old. It would have been nice if they had gotten the 2 1/2 ton truck or the Elefant. Meijer's is slowly depleting what little FOV they had; once again all old stuff. Even the more expensive hobby shops have nothing......

Visited multiple Targets throughout SoCal today, every Target is fully restocked with Unimax's FOV 1:72 Battle Extreme Series. Old and new, at least every store had about 1-2 Apache Longbow, 1 Black Hawk repaint, 1 King Tiger & Soldiers Set, 1-2 LCM3s, and 1 Sd. Kfz. 251/1 and 75mm PaK 40 set.

The Stuart came carded also. I have all three and think they will be quite the oddity in times to come. Of course 1/32 never really generated the rabid following and high prices of the 1/18 21C stuff. There goes my retirement plan...

Wow, found 1/32 spitfires still at the San Jacinto, CA Wal Mart. Terrible quality control as usual, but there are 3 left if you want one to repaint on your own or enjoy the paint scuffs all over them...I plan on making a Battle of Britain Spitfire with the one I picked up. Hope my painting skills are ok...

I went to my Hobbytown store and they had their 21st kits reduced. Their Priests and Shermans with dozer were $10 off... @$10 each. I realize this isn't as reduced as Monkey Depot was, but I purchased some anyway. The Meijers had FOV reduced: 1/32 Schimmwagons, and figure sets, etc., were @$7 and change. Their intermediate vehicals were $13 and change.. Who ever would have thought the 1/32 gravy train was going to stop and make me jonesing for 1/32....

Target and Macho Machines

Post by bboc » Wed May 12, 2010 9:09 pm

Force of habit had me check the toy aisles at Target. Lo and behold, they had a clearance shelf full of the little FoV tanks. The grey Tiger, OD Shermans, tan Bradleys and Abrams for $1.50 each. I picked up the Tiger and Sherman. I think the Tiger's detail is very good, the Sherman OK. They are small, about 1/100 scale, but the hulls feel like metal and the packaging claims they are diecast.

TRU has what's left of the Bravo Team 1/32 on sale for $11.32.... All too soon, TRU will no longer carry any 1/32. I wonder if there will ever be any new Bravo Team introductions.....

Well I've been to a few TRU and the Bravo Team stuff is gone. Surpisingly I saw 2 Elefants (1/32) for $14.99. I wish they would have had the 2 1/2 ton trucks. I would have picked them up.
I wonder if Target is going to start reducing their Bravo or perhaps offer some new releases.

Guess I'll add something to this thread, since is been inactive since 2010

Anyways, it seems that members from the east coast, to the mid west, to central California are finding the 21c 32x/AllGo P-51B "Shangri La" and FW-109A8 "Red 19" on clearance at Tuesday Morning stores.

In the Fresno, CA, TM store, I found 14 of them (12 now) and got to get my pick of the litter. Just tickled as this is exactly like the old Wal Mart days before 2008, assuming I had a good score at WM. It was surprising the see the variation in QC among the planes as well.

I wonder if this means that AllGo has now bit the dust as well...

Guess I need to head back over to Douglasville and check their single location. The gas to drive to ATL isn't worth the effort just for those planes.

Treefrog Treasures has some Britains vehicles on sale. These vehicles go well with 21st Century and FOV 1/32. They are offering 2 Hanomags, 1 T34 and 1 Panzer Mark IV for $50 each. Shipping would be free for any purchase over $50. When you consider the slim offerings currently available and what FOV is charging, this isn't a bad deal.

I went to my local Hobbytown USA and they had some FOV on sale for 35% off. With the use of a $7 coupon I was able to pick up the German 4X4 Ambulance for $43. They also had a Chafee and T34 on sale. There were a couple of other vehicles too. (1/32)
Some of the newer vehicles were priced at $85. OUCH!!!!

I stopped at a hobby shop today (one of the rare non-chain shops still open) and ran across old Revell (Renwal reissues). They had the 1/32 atomic cannon and the Mace missile system with truck for $20 each. I already have the recently reissued Renwal atomic cannon so I picked up the Mace. They also had an old Monogram 1/32 kit for $10. I love coming across such finds....
