My Bucket List

Post by pickelhaube » Wed Sep 07, 2011 3:29 pm

I know this is just wasting time , but these things are on my list for things to do before I die.

Projects actually started but not finished. All in 1/18 scale

A7V
105 Howitzer
Sdkfz 251 back date
Jumbo Sherman
Hybrid Sherman
Pavehawk mods

Short list . Projects that will be started ASAP. Yeah right

Koeng Tiger
Up armored HUMVEE turret and accessories
Pave Hawk DAP kit
P-51 mod
Fw -190 mod
Panther II
Kugleblitz

Long list. Project that I want to do real bad just waiting for time. I am thinking of doing a few mods of each.

Panzer Mk IV mods
Panther Mods
Tiger mods
Spitfire mods

Long long lists of full builds. Will they see the light of day ?

He-162
Hind
Early Cobra
Waco glider
Hetzer
T-72
Su-85
GAZ AA and AAA
Mause
Sdkfz 223
Mig-3
Stormavic

I am sure I forgot a few of my other favorites.
Notice no M3e-163 and A-10 hopefully some day some else will make these.

So that is my bucket list anybody want to add.

Anybody have their own ?

No Ostwind?? at least make the 37mm gun so us novices dont have to make the whole thing from scrap or can try to make a flak truck with it! :D

No Natter? its so small you could knock it out in a week! :D

The Panzer III is one i would like to see before i die in 1/18
I want one so badly that i was thinking to cut short a panzer IV chassis, but there are to many differences between the two tanks,so many that is better to build the tank from scratch.this tank is available in 1/32 and 1/16.Not a very powerful tank but this where so common on WWII that i think no collection is complete without one of them. Also the elephant will be a cool tank to have.

Ditto.

My list:

1) I would want to see someone expand into the Soviet War in Afghanistan or at least some turn of the century era ruskies. I would love to own the complete collection of a VDV squad, BMPs, Mi-24s, and for sure T-72s.

2) After seeing True Heroes attempt, an accurate CH-47 Chinook would be welcome.

3) A Leopard A6, one with Heer markings and one with those of the Canadian Forces

4) The SOL, Joel, Mike, The Bots and the Mads (Rowsdower may be the only one to understand what I am talking about here)

Cool, WACO Glider in resin would be nice!
But what about an L.C.V.P. Landing Craft?
Can we say H-I-G-G-I-N-S ?

No UH-1D Huey or Vietnam Cobra? We could really use more helos. As for me, my list includes the Bell 47, F-4 Phantom, CH-47 Chinook, and a MQ-1 Predator.

How about that 1/18 M3A1 Scout Car you raved about? One can be regular and one made up as Patton's personal Scout Car.

Anything else you might have forgotten? Hint: It's 1/6 and has a 20mm and a MG34!!!!!!! Where is that on the bucket list? I must have missed it.

These days, for obvious reasons, I'm thinking in terms of projects I might tackle as 3D printed projects. The primary criterion for being on my "dream list" is that no one else will ever do the project in 1/18. Things I've been thinking about:

US prop:
OV-10
MQ9 Reaper

IJN/JIA prop:
Nakajima Kate
(lots of other Japanese planes ...)

Luftwaffe prop:
Do17
He111
Ju88

US Jets:
A4 Skyhawk
F8
A7

Russian Jets:
MiG 21

"Space-ish:"
X-20
Rutan SpaceShip One

Bucket list amendment.

Huey D ( I already have the Cobra on the list B-29 )

Charlies Sdkfz 250

White Scout Car

Patton's Scout Car

I should put the Higgins landing craft on the list . But it would be towards the bottom.

I was also thinking of doing the conning tower of a U-Boat . I think that it would be cool .But that would be towards the bottom as well.

After reading everyone else's list I don't feel as bad about how ambitious mine is.

1. P-39 Airacobra

2. KI-44

3. Hawker Hurricane

4. P-61 Black Widow

5. TA-152 H mod

I will stop at five until I finish the P-39.

I forgot about the R-2800 radial engine.

I wanted to do a full mock up of the double rows maybe sitting on a stand.

Just add that one to the list.

Will you make the gun as a stand alone project like you did for the quad 20mm?
