I keep on marveling over the FAV. In my opinion it really is a fantastic little vehicle and I cannot complain about the price. The FAV is correctly scaled and very well detailed. You can even see the engine! Really, its more on par with a BBI or even older 21c vehicle than past PTE items.

Went to a local BL's today and the PTE stuff is selling quick! This same store had lots of PTE and only a few packages left! No sign of any restocking yet.

I'll confirm that this is happening in the Sacramento region as well. I've hit a few stores that had the major of an isle dedicated to PTE and they are clearing out. Interestingly some stores look like they started with just a few, while others had much more.

Went to a Big Lots today to see that PTE is being RESTOCKED!! They had the F-18, Command Post, and bombed out building all for $30 each. They also restocked the attack vehicle, 3 pack soldiers and swat teams, camels, horses, etc. :D

Restock in my area too, including:

-Bombed Building
-Chinese chopper
-Chinese AFV
-Chinese Tank
-Chinese dune buggy thing
-US Dune Buggy
-US Jet (Anyone want the jet, but not the ground crew figure and his gear + ladder? I'll work something out with you for that)
-Towers
-Deluxe Figure w/stuff (Horses, Camels, bivouac, kayak, etc.)
-Figure 3-packs w/gear (Bob, expect me to have figures for you)
-Humvees
-Littlebirds

No bridges, no command centers, and none of the bigger 2 figure sets with bigger accessories like the full tents, or the bunk sets (which I love and miss).

If you live near San Antonio, TX the area BL finally got a new shipment. They have a great variety. RAH, command and bombed out buildings, little birds, troop sets, etc. No sight of the PTE F-18 or A-10 (yet).

Issue: some of the RAH have "bended" rotor blades thanks to how they were packed (or forced in to the box) at the factory. It really sucks to see a great model looks like it was packed by a four-year old... Pick yours carefuly.

Sounds like I'm getting a bombed building as a Christmas gift. :) That's cool.

Also if anyone wants the F-18 but not the ladder or paddles, hit me up. My store has them, and thats the only pieces I want out of the set.

Even more PTE stuff surfaced at my Big Lots today or yesterday I guess.

I found a ton of SWAT sets. They had the deluxe figure sets with larger accessories, but they also had a ton of SWAT 3-packs as well. I saw they put out more regular army figure 3-packs as well, and a bit more of the Navy SEAL sets too.

Still no bridges, and we didn't get the pizza Hut Command Center. Also no Abrams tanks, just the chinese ones.

Lots of cool stuff though. Too bad no bunk sets and other deluxe 2-packs like the tent. I haven't seen those or the bridge since their first appearance some years ago. Go figure?

Good news. Still no bunk sets/Deluxe 2-packs I guess. Those and the Bridge seem to be the only things NOT surfacing this year. And the big cannons too... Those are also not showing up. Weird.

What does the F-18 scale to? Also, are the underside of the wings finished? or are they like the A-10?
I would like to get one, weather it and hang it up, but the hallow wings bottoms would be a deal killer.

no it's chap mei. I don't think it was ever released in north america. It made it to europe briefly a couple of years ago. It's quite small....half the size it should be.

I got some weird images of what I guess are new PTE figures? They're like generic adventurers, or generic "enemies" of some sort.

Click through to JediDefender to see it. I'm not sure they haven't been pictured before, but I've not seen them or my memory of them is just completely gone.

Weird, eh?

Whoa! See the link below - the SU-27 has been spotted in Canada!

af only I could remember which board member(s) live in Canada...
erg...oh well, I guess the rest of
us will just have to wait and see if US stores pickup
on why it would be a great seller.
