If all of a sudden 1/18 came profitable again what models should be produced that could be turned out quickly and be profitable?

I voted A-4 but you should have also added the F-8!

Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?

Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

I was thinking along the lines of a small sized bird that wouldn't take a lot of effort or resources to produce.

P-39 Airacobra. Small, tons of paint schemes and a nice looking plane. I would also add the KI-61 to the list for the same reasons as the P-39. The FW-190A would be another great selling plane.

I'd say an ME-163 komet with the level of detail of the Pegasus V-1 flying bomb.
Kit or assembled/painted for under $40.00.......that's a winner!

I have to agree with Normandy, ME-163 komet would be easy to produce and look great hanging from a ceiling or sitting on a shelf.
Plus, PH already made a launch ramp and dolly for it!

A-4 or Komet or both were both my choices. I agree that riding the jet wave is good and I would take an A-4 with opening canopy and moving gear. No need to bother too much with rudder or elevators or ailerons or flaps if it would keep costs down.

Good choices, but I still think the P-40E through N, and the P-51 B/C are more recognizable and perhaps would be more popular sellers, but a Typhoon / Tempest or Hurricane would be awesome too.

My choice would be the Hurricane, no, wait a minute, I think the Hawker Tempest would be perfect, unless, maybe, they produced the Comet, or an A-4 could be really nice...
Never mind.

A comet would be nice, actually anything WWII, sorry I'm just not much on modern aircraft.

I like all the poll choices... Some, particularly the Hurricane and F4F Wildcat are historically significant aircraft types that should have been produced already. There are lots of great schemes for the A-4 and the F9F would be fun.
Still, I agree with the above comments that something like the ME-163 would be a great seller and could be done even in kit form for very cheap. Looks cool as well

Voted Typhoon because I have always liked that plane, but an A-7 would have been my preference.

It seems that the Wildcat is getting the votes. The Wildcat would not be a quick build.
It has that crazy whacked landing gear.

Me 163, or Tempest/Typhoon.
German WWII sells. And would be a relatively easy model.
Lots of collectors wanting a Typhoon/Tempest in larger than 1/72.
For jets, have to go with the F-4.Lots of schemes, and weapons loadouts. But relatively large, and complicated.

True, but it is a $350 kit.
Too much for me.Even if it was pre-built, and assembled.
Just my opinion. And hopefully not a sign of the future.

I'll take one or two or three or four of that rumored AG 1:32 Hawker Typhoon (and probably easily afford that many)
Whoops this is 1:18, my bad.
