I can't believe the filming and flying sequences here. This is 1944 and some of it is as good as or better than Battle of Britain and Tora Tora Tora. Way ahead of it's time.
Rare shots of flying Oscars, Brewster Buffalos. P-40's and Sally (?) bombers. Someone told me the model maker of the ground shots structures buildings went on to fame doing the Godzilla movies, but all the flying is real.

Excellent film work there. They certainly had the advantage of being in the time period and having access to the actual types of aircraft for that very "authentic" look
Also interesting from the propaganda perspective - the Japanese Army AF rolling over and dominating its enemies who only pathetically respond. Yes, that is pretty much what happened in December 1941, but by the time this film was made, it was a bit different story for the Japanese.
