Anybody getting FOV's 2011 1/16 Tiger 1?
Anybody getting FOV's 2011 1/16 Tiger 1?
It looks pretty good and it might re-ignite interest in 1/16 scale.

Price seems a bit high though.

When the S1 came out I think it sold for $250 now the same model with different paint is $600 ???????????????????????????????????????????????????
WTF ???????????
WTF ???????????
Re: Anybody getting FOV's 2011 1/16 Tiger 1?
No there is nothing of interest to me with this simple repaint and whopping price tag. I would have bought the Panzer 3 they were showing previously.

I, too, was excited about the 1/16 Panzer that they initially were advertizing, but the release of yet another Tiger reminds me of the "Trouble with Tribbles" episode in the first Star Trek series. A "Trouble with Tigers" situation if you will. Way, way too many of them.
Re: Anybody getting FOV's 2011 1/16 Tiger 1?
Absolutely not. Pretty model, but I also have a 1/16 HL R/C Tiger, repainted with aftermarket parts at a fraction of this cost, that looks wonderful (tooting my own horn).
$250 price tag to $600???....exactly....WTF?????

Exactly. $500 of aftermarket aluminum on a Henglong will beat out a static model any day.

Like others, I too was excited about the Panzer 4 or maybe even a Panther.....Would have shelled out the $600 too!......everything's going up in price, this isn't 2005/06 anymore. Now just another Tiger1 when I already have the previous two...no can do, not worth the $600.
Will see how many sell on ebay in a year down the road after release for $400 or less!...there's still plenty of Shermans around.

The answer to your question is yes, somebody will get it, just not me!
Re: Anybody getting FOV's 2011 1/16 Tiger 1?
Good point, but the Sherman prices remain high, the best deal I have seen was from the Unimax store itself. $300 shipped this last Christmas was a great deal! I know RC is a better deal, but I really do love these Extreme Metal tanks!Zartan wrote: Will see how many sell on ebay in a year down the road after release for $400 or less!...there's still plenty of Shermans around.

I wonder if FOV will release a repainted King Tiger.

If they do, they will probably pack it similar to the Tiger1 and do away with the cost of the wooden crate.dragon53 wrote:I wonder if FOV will release a repainted King Tiger.

I might get this because I missed the rest when I used to collect 1/6 figures. Who else is going to get it?
Re: Anybody getting FOV's 2011 1/16 Tiger 1?
on the fence...got the last two and really like the Extreme Metal line.....might get it if they throw in a figure of the horse and rider...(make for a good diorama)
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

Yeah Yoxford the horse would be awsome but I doubt they will do that. It could be worth a buy as only 700 units worldwide and the price decreasing to 449 dollars or 270 pounds.
Re: Anybody getting FOV's 2011 1/16 Tiger 1?
I just saw on diecastdirect.com the tiger tank is on pre sale for $385.00. I think that is a good deal. They sure go up on price and they are made in limited numbers.I dont't collect 1/16 but i wish the company make this same tank in 1/18 but not like the bravo.More like the extreme metal series.
