Hello ChairmanMilo,
I apologize for sending an email out of the blue like
this, but you are one of the few profiles on SSHQ that
has an email listed and who has posted relatively
recently.
I registered my account, username Phaid, on SSHQ about
a week ago. I replied (twice) to the activation
email, but P51 has never activated my account. Could
you make a quick post on the Forum Threads board
asking him to activate Phaid? I'd be very grateful.
Best regards,
Phil / Phaid

Don't know if he's been registered yet, but here's an email I got recently:
I, much like the other person whose email you posted, really don't like sending emails out of the blue like this, but I seem to be having the same problem as they are. I cannot get my account activated, despite several rounds of activations occuring, as per postings on the forums. I thought I'd see if you could add my name, and perhaps a copy of this email to the thread you started. I just emailed [email protected] to request activation again, and thought I'd include a copy of it here:
I wanted to send another email requesting account activation. I replied to the one I was sent when I registered, and have since sent a few others. I've read on the forum about the troubles you've had with spammers, and I certainly can understand your efforts to stop them. All I would like to do is have my account activated, but I'm unsure of what to do to show that I'm not a spammer. I can't try registering again, as the system recognizes my email address and says I already have an account. If there's something I can do to verify my identity, please let me know. In the meanwhile I can offer the following:
A link to my Myspace account, which has photos showing myself as an actual person.
http://www.myspace.com/mydogsnameistyler
An attached photo, also of myself, that is not on the Myspace page. (not sure how to embed it, please see attachment)
Links to BadCat's blog, Tales of the Cat, where I sometimes comment, as 'Matt V'.

It's not much, but it happens to be the only photo I have of any of my tanks at the moment:

But if you're not able to use that link, I attached a copy of the same pic.
If there's anything else I can offer, feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you, and hopefully becoming a participating member of the forums.
Thanks,
MV

Email received yesterday:
After reading the topic on the SSHQ forums regarding those with lengthy pending memberships, I’ve decided to step in line and see if you can get me some help with the same issue. I replied to the activation e-mail, I’ve e-mailed Britt twice I believe, and I have also e-mailed Teamski about it as well, and he e-mailed Britt also. I have yet to have been activated.
I have obssessive compulsive disorder and Tourette's syndrome, and I honestly have been hellbent on getting on this forum. I really find ya'll a great group of guys (and girls) and I don't know what else to do. I don't think I can stand being left out much longer, it's driving me up the wall.
Any kind of proof you want, I will get. I understand that spam is a severe issue, and I am not in the least bit even tolerant of spam. The name of my account is AlloySkull.
My name is Stephen Wilhite. I am from Houston, Texas. I’m 18 years old. My friends call my Fangs, as you will see why in the picture I will link to below. I have been fascinated with aircraft, especially WWII aircraft since I was a child and have been to the Wings Over Houston Airshow every year for 10 years. In-fact, I met Jason, of Admiral Toys this past show, which I found out through the forums he was going to be there. I was rather impressed by the 1:18 Phantom prototype. I also picked up two 1:32 aircraft for my collection from him, the Me-109E Night Fighter, and the Fw-190D-9 “Red 3” used to cover Me-262s during takeoff.
If you want proof that I’m into military and WWII, just look at my MySpace (I’m a teenager, what do you expect? ) There’s a picture of two Marines in a firefight. I do collect random military things, such as pouches, patches, medals and heavier things. There’s a picture of me with one of my 1:32 Stukas when I used to have them hanging up in my room.
Why do I want to be on this forum, and not any other forum? After two months of reading ever post and every topic I can, I’ve grown accustom to the members here, and the incredible atmosphere and amount of information that resides here. I’ve looked at other forums, and I can’t give up here, a part of me is already here, I come here everyday and catch up on news. Ya’ll may not know me, but I hope you will soon, because I sure do have a lot of questions. J

I hope I can join the forums soon, I really have some awesome links to some aircraft profile drawings, armor profile drawings as well as armor and aircraft 3-views, cut-a-ways and more. Mostly Russian and French sites, but hey, they get the job done at the end of the day! Especially when you have a scale drawing of a Fulcrum that’s 41 physical inches long… Too bad I don’t have a super printer…

Success! Thank you!
Now I'll go home from work, and out to dinner, and not be able to post anything until Thursday, but still, I made it! My girlfriend will be so... Well, either happy that I'm no longer wandering around wondering why I can't get activated, or unhappy that now I spend all my time here. Better make it up to her, buy her a nice tank for Christmas...
