What if it was Jack from sky works that bought it?

Okay.

The 1/18 A-10 prototype at $1580 I can see.

A 1/18 King Tiger, like I said before, with three other examples (R/C) at 1/16th out there...bought for this amount of money???? I can buy two Tamiya KT's with full running gear and options for this price.

Bought so that they can say they have the only 21C King Tiger???

Hope All-Go doesn't release the KT for Ebay winner's sake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A

Definitely. I don't even collect 1/18 but I couldn't help but watch this thing go down.

That may happen but it is still a prototype.

But not the only example in a scale that's incredibly close. The A-10 doesn't have an "equal" (using an 1/18 piece as an example and the auction that was on Ebay several months ago).

I still think it's ludicrous

I disagree.

I'm a 1/18 aircraft guy, but have a few smatterings of armor. I'm pretty god-darned sure All-Go is watching this whole thing go down and it's pretty obvious from watching this thread and the auction, that the interest is there.

Maybe at that price, but it was said that 21st was going to follow the release of the 88 with the King Tiger.
Unless someone has some inside intel they'd like to divulge, I'm optimistic that we will see a 1:18th KT in the future.

that prototype, if it really is a prototype....it may be an early production model which is a step above a prototype and is used to get a feel for the finished product and make any last minute tweeks, demonstrates that they were very far along in the development process; probably at the point where all they would have to do is give the go ahead for production to begin.

So, it's good to go. It just needs the money and the will to get it produced. However, AllGo's silence for the last while tells me they've given up the ghost. They took a stab at getting rolling again, it didnt pan out and that's that. But we'll see, anything can happen and i'd say we have a 35% chance of seeing the KT made.

It looks like the rest of the tracks that came with all of the 21st tanks in 1/18th.

The only one ever or not I still can't see spending that kind of money on a toy.... and I have spent some mad money on my toys  LOL - you could almost get a used car for that much coin. Maybe this was ALL Go's twisted way of seeing if there is any interest in a 1/18 KT LOL

Meritline, a Chinese toy company is coming out with a 1/18 RC KT for around $69.

Don't tell anyone, it is a secret but I heard it from a guy who should know. Let's keep it to ourselves.

Don't tell anyone, especially whoever just spent $1500 on this KT.
