AV-8B Harrier

Post by aeo178 » Sun Dec 20, 2009 10:39 pm

Wish an 1/18 scale AV-8B Harrier was made. And how about its hopefuly new replacement the F35B.

Ditto...

The harrier would look great hanging from the wall 1-feet off the ground

I'm surprised it doesnt get a 1/18 shout-out for more often

Must be a license issue, that would perfect for Pegasus to do, the coolness and uniqueness factor alone should have led it to be made.

A Harrier would definitely be cool. Smaller size, nice weapons loadouts, good amount of repaints possible.

Any scheme would be sweet. Maybe even some of the early british Gr1s or Seaharriers?

Absolutely! The great thing about the Harrier for 1/18 is that it's one of the few modern fighter jets with a small size. To me that gives it more "play value" as you could conceivably hold it with one hand and zoom it around the room if you're so inclined :) At the very least, it means its cost wouldn't be as prohibitive as oh say, I dunno, the FREAKIN' HUGE F-14!

But of the course the main reason it'd be awesome in 1/18 is that in 1/1 it is one-of-a-kind total awesomeness!

i'm surprised bbi didn't do a harrier back in the day. They were always looking for smaller 1/18 jet subjects to make. The F-5 reached an advanced state of development before being cancelled. I would have thought a harrier more popular than that, and similar in size.

If the tomcat does well, other manufacturers may get into making 1/18 jets and we may get a harrier some day.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

An A-4 Skyhawk would be nice to, its a very small fighter/bomber.

Actually surprised we haven't seen more "rah-rah Harrier". Neat airplane that screams CAS along with its A-10 brother.

Would love to see one in 1/18th

Harrier would be a great idea.

Right up there with other iconic planes that I would love to see in 1/18.
