21st HUMVEE
I went to Grilled Cheese's house on Monday and came back with one of 21st's HUMVEE. I still owe for it
This is one cool vehical. There is almost more detail on the bottom of it than the top.
When compared to BBI's it is nite and day.
The 21st more like a model the BBI more toyish.
Just the oposite for thier aircaft.
I have a couple comming in for a possible mod. Heck for $10 there is no beating it.
BTW,
His 2 subs that he posted in the custom section look fantastic in real life. He has them mounted on the wall and at 1/72 they sure do look impressive.

No biggie. I may not know exactly where you live, but I can narrow it down to a ten-square-mile area.I still owe for it
Well, if you visit me I'll give you that cookie.Darn who do i get to visit?
Especially with the natural been-hanging-on-the-wall-for-a-year dust weathering. He has them mounted on the wall and at 1/72 they sure do look impressive.

The 21c Hummer is indeed a nice vehicle! I've got examples of all four that they made. My only gripe about it is that one cannot fit figures in the back seat without removing their legs. Otherwise, it is tough to beat. I like the BBI one as well and the one I got at Target has fantastic weathering, but it is certainly more toyish with its lack of window glass, open spaces in the vehicle floor, etc. I had to do some modifications to correct that
"If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."
Totally agree, BBI's offerings are "Action Series" while 21st's are more of "Enthusiast Edition"
Just on the "BBI toyish" theme, BBI's "2nd USMC Recon Battalion Super Humvee".
Based on reality or toyish ?. Looks like something from Road Warrior/Mad Max.

That is a real humvee. 2nd Recon is light and fast, working behind enemy lines in advance of the main battle group. They need to be able to recon areas and harass the enemy while finding troop strengths and strong points. The recoil-less rifle in the back enables them to engage and ultimately allow a retreat from enemy armor.
Best,
