Oh dear Gwd I hope they don't look like AT F-86 pilots.j/k
Doubt it, the figures might not even resembles the original XD figures at all.
I think there is a real good chance that pilot figures will happen...
New soldiers too
Shin's wishlist for 1/18 and 1/32 with retractable landing gear and more:

F-14 Tomcat, F-8 Crusader, A-4 Skyhawk, F-105 Thunderchief, A-6 Intruder, F-15C, F-15E Strike Eagle

After seeing the older 21st Century figure molds that JSI evidently has, they could simply have the figure design that bbi has and are calling it all new....all new to them that would be... :D

Still, that type of figure would be fine with me.

We'll have to see what unfolds.
Go Ugly Early in 1/18!!

Still waiting and wishing for a 1/18 A-10 Warthog.

All they would have to do is use the bbi F-18 pilots and mold a HGU-33/P U.S. helmet.

From what I've been told, I doubt it. It's an all new design from what they've told me. If it was a reissue of the BBI molds, I think we would have seen it already and see the Tomcat with 2.

You have to remember that bbi and JSI haven't been established as connected so what is old with bbi can be new to JSI. If JSI didn't see the pilots as important until after they started rolling out their products and getting fan/retailer feedback, they may not have been looking into figure designs for pilots until now.

Yes but working on an all new design implies working on an all new product, not older one. As in designing something from scratch

Just got a voicemail from Isiah at MTS. My preorder is good to go.

He mentioned we should see them at our doosteps in roughly four weeks. They are in production as we speak and will leave China in about a week and a half.

Sweet... :D

Is anyone buying two or more JSI F-14s for future resale?

F-14 from aikens as of 10/16

Post by Pa Deuce » Wed Oct 28, 2009 10:10 am

Dave,

I believe I heard the JSI F-14 was shipping for free - ie. total cost
with shipping is $209.95. Is this deal still in effect - can I still get
the free shipping if I order one now?

_______________________________

HI-- Yes, the total will be 209.95 and I will put you down for one -- I will
email you when the item arrives and at that time I will get your shipping
and credit card info --

thank you -

Sally is the best online retailer in my opinion. And she gives free candy with every order. You can't go wrong with Aiken's airplanes.
Fred, really looking forward to the JSI 1/18th scale Grumman F-14 Tomcat.

I have two on pre-order right now because I found a better deal on it but haven't gotten around to canceling the first one. Never really intended to buy a second one for resale purposes; I guess I should get on that and cancel the other one. I dunno if you'd be able to turn a profit on one of these, but i doubt you would lose any money on it if you decided to resell it.

Have my preorder confirmed from Aikens. They are honoring the $209 price but have been mum on the free shipping. Even with shipping, I'm still saving close to $35 compared to if I ordered from Badcat.

Those who have a badcat preorder will likely get their planes first

TMANTHEGREAT:

How can Aikens be mum on free shipping if you placed your pre-order about the same time as I first posted the free shipping on SSHQ....unless they're having second thoughts about free shipping due to the large number of orders?

Great on the free shipping! That should make it one of the better F-14 deals around 8)

I found out my local hobby shop will be carrying some of the F14s and they reserved one for me. They are asking $199.99, so it's a good deal with no shipping.
