Re: 1:18 New Series:Acid Rain

I received my order of the speeder, the ST-01 and commander pilot, but haven't had time to even open and look at them yet. Will take pictures soon once I do open them. Also, Normandy, because you asked, I am about to list my King Tiger kit for sale for 300.00, shipping included. I really wanted this...

That is from the 2013 NY toy fair. I wonder why they haven't posted any pics from 2014? I believe they had a booth.

Re: 1:32 Battlestar Galactica Models

Yep, I think they are cool. I have the pre-built versions and kit versions which I haven't attempted yet. They just came out with the original series version in kit form which I picked up. The original series cylon raider comes out this month I think. . I've always been a fan of the original series ...

Re: 1:18 New Series:Acid Rain

Wow man, you committed to the vehicles? You're a better man than me. The price... Yikes. I was shocked. The figures I am maybe a little more interested in but they're not cheap either. I was just sticker shocked on those vehicles though. Yep, had to pick these up. The sheer coolness of them, plus t...

Figures approved by the Pentagon

Anybody see these? I just saw them posted. Looks like the True heroes line from ToyRus, only with US Army on them. Wish they were better :-(

I ordered the vehicles but figures were already sold out by the time I checked them. :-(
But from what I read, there are supposed to be several types of figures coming.

Re: Retro "Alien" Figures

I probably have more money than sense because I'm one that's gobbling them up! ;-) I love Firefly and Escape from New York, and considering nobody will ever make them in 1:18, these are too cool to pass up. Although, Funko is supposed to be making a 6 inch scale Firefly series of figs and if they lo...

Re: 1/18 Scratchbuilt H-13E/Bell 47D

Thanks for the compliments. I have to say, looking at the finished product has well justified the time I put into it. Also, funny story about the canopy. This part concerned me the most about the entire build. I knew that if I could finish that, the rest of the model I could produce on my own. So, ...

That is one of the best 1:18 customs I have ever seen. Simply amazing! I would offer to buy it from you but with 2 years of labor, I probably couldn't afford it ;-)

I actually have the blue carded (preorder exclusive from Reaction website) and black carded version (regular retail) of this set. I think the whole concept is cool! I'm an old fart so I remember selling newspapers as a ten year old kid just to save enough money to buy my next Kenner Star Wars figure...

1/18 on TV

Was just watching FNC and a USAA insurance commercial came on and at the end, a little boy was playing with a 21st century 1/18 P-38 next to his veteran grandpa. Cool to see :-D

Re: Military Toy Shop Visit

I stopped in last year while visiting my daughter at WPAFB. Prices are on the high side but not completely unreasonable. Very small store really, but packed full of our old favorites. Also, their website hasn't seemed to be updated in ages. I actually thought they had closed down. glad to hear they ...

Smalljoes.com just put these up for preorder as well. I'm tempted to buy one just for the novelty of another company's name on the box. Curious to see if they will improve the boxes like JSi did.
