TKO, is that the actual model of Passion Wagon that will be on the market? Notice the nice scale wheels and tires, I sure hope so. Exactly, nice scale landing gear - must be detachable or telescope? Mustang struts are too short to retract in that pose (with weight on the wheels). Early D of the 357...

I just want to chime in once more on this - when you go through the effort of mass-producing such an amazing pre-finished model - it is every bit a technical miracle at $200 - it is SUCH a ball drop when a decent shading technique couldn't be worked out before production. That seems to me like a min...

Looks like the solvent part of the hand cleaner is depositing some of the, what I assume would be dark grey stained solvent+paint, into the panel lines leaving a sort of nice wash as an after effect of wiping the gojo off - is that what I'm seeing?

Been away from the forums since the spot controversy started, hoping it was just misunderstanding, but seeing the production photos... I have to go back and read all the posts but let me just say the model looks like it was shot to hide the weathering - harsh lighting edit: ok, I can't take the time...

Take a close look at this now though: I'm wondering if this nacelle that is being stamped is in actuality finished, and the other nacelles next to it are pre-shaded... I mean that really looks like the detail on the paint master

Let me just say, if you were Merit, wouldn't you be up somebody's ass at JSI every day until they gave you a legit product photo?

True, a lot of us having been saving for months for this bird, myself included. I asked Merit to post a finished production picture. I think it's only fair since many of us are being charged this week for the product. I'm not a nitpicker or rivet counter by any stretch of the imagination, but if th...

I'm trying to look at these photos with eagle eyes and I think I am seeing that dichotomy of painting skill I've seen with the other JSI aircraft. Take a careful look at Badcadt's photos and you'll see assemblies on other aircraft that are weathered nicely - with just the right amounts of brushwork ...

Yeah from the pics, at the stage of pad printing, I would assume all the weathering is done. They seemed to weather only a few major lateral panel lines - where on the paint master, while they did have spots all over, they were heavily muted with that gull gray color, and all the panel lines had som...

F-14 from aikens as of 10/16

Dave, I believe I heard the JSI F-14 was shipping for free - ie. total cost with shipping is $209.95. Is this deal still in effect - can I still get the free shipping if I order one now? _______________________________ HI-- Yes, the total will be 209.95 and I will put you down for one -- I will emai...

I'm sure we'll be able to tweak those attachment points to let them camber out a couple degrees - I've got my modeling files ready  Looks really good. The only thing I have noticed from the very beginning is that the vertical tails are too well... straight. If you look at it from head on it loo...

the wings were clipped to improve low altitude performance, as well as engine differences to suit low altitude combat. It may have just been a british mod, done in theatre....in the sort of the same way that sherman DD's and sherman crabs were stritcly british mods, although the US did use some of ...

I'm not sure the USAAF clipped Mk.Vb trops at all. The clipped, cropped and clapped Mk.Vb LF's were almost always made from RAF aircraft in storage or ships in the process of being repaired.

YES

all three

How about a Mk.V seafire? - knowing there were more than a couple variants - I think the tropical filter and the Royal Navy markings really look unique.

That one and the spinach are the only 2 I don't have. The prices I have seen it sell for are leading me to think I may never get one. I don't think the spinach model was a good representation of Wick's plane anyway - but it would have been cool to have models for Molders, Wick and Galland when they...
