Air-to-Air Photography is one of the most sought after types of photography for aviation photographers showcasing aircraft in their natural form: from the air. Since the beginning of aviation history, photographs of aircraft in flight have been the purest form of capturing an airplane in the essence of flight. Air to Air flights take a lot of planning and skill, with pilots having to fly in formation at very close distances and often in orbits above a location. Safety is very important with any shoot, and each shoot requires a detailed briefing before the first plane takes to the air. Many aviation photographers strive to be an air-to-air photographer, but the number of factors involved makes it difficult to break into. Britt Dietz has been shooting air to air photo work with various Warbird owners, Air Museums, and Military organizations for over 14 years.
